The property matches the description. It really is just a short walk to the river. Unfortunately, though, it wasn’t completely quiet.
Until the evening, boisterous kayakers were paddling by with loud music, and a train passed by every 40 minutes or so during the day (it was quiet at night).
It will definitely be quieter outside of the kayaking season.

We were completely enchanted by this property. It’s located in a beautiful, peaceful spot with a stunning view of the Otava River. It’s the ideal place for anyone looking to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. In the morning, you’ll wake up to nothing but birdsong, and throughout the day you can enjoy complete peace and the beautiful surrounding nature.
A big thank you goes to Mr. David, who is very kind and helpful. He recommended a wonderful walk to Žichovice along the Otava River. The path winds through beautiful nature, and along the way there are plenty of charming spots worth stopping at. We were equally thrilled by the bike path to Horažďovice—it also runs along the river and offers truly magnificent views. We’ll remember these places for a long time to come.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay, and our only regret is that we only stayed for one night. We’ve already made plans with Mr. David to return later this season—this time, definitely for a longer stay.
